"BAJARD, Yves Georges October 12, 1933 - January 26, 2013 Yves did once again something we didn't expect: He passed away suddenly in the night. He was always one to discuss at length the effect of political decisions, and to encourage people's participation in them. We wish - his family - that we had been allowed to discuss with him the moment of his departure! Still, it happened well: Thora was by his side when he left. She was 18 and he 23 when they embarked on their far-reaching adventures first between France and Denmark, then working in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Canada, and they were still together in the last minutes. Yves was a geologist and regional planner who believed firmly that people can and must manage their own development, organizing in such a manner that we not deplete the world resources and future generations' possibility of life: he was twenty years ahead of his time, long before the term "sustainable development" existed. He was an exceptionally inspiring husband, father and grandfather. Thora, their three daughters Christine, Anne-Catherine and Dominique, grandchildren Yannick, Micaëla, Nikolaj and Tobias, and sons-in-law Esben, Jose Luis and Rod, invite friends to a celebration of Yves' life on February 16 in the afternoon.
